You might credit my persistence and dedication in everything I do to being the daughter of an Iraq War Veteran or the fact that I was born and raised right across the river from New York City. Regardless, the perfect way to describe my work ethic is through sharing my weight loss journey. Shortly after graduating from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design in May 2020, with concentrations in Graphic Design and Advertising, I took my first full-time job as a Junior Graphic Designer at ArtSkills, Inc.
At ArtSkills, I was surrounded by people who lived life much differently than how I was raised. My eyes were opened to a world outside of my bubble. Being the absorbent sponge of a person that I am, I learned how moving your body a few minutes a day, controlling impulse eating, and paying attention to the kind of food you fuel your body with can change your life! It took two years and a lot of commitment to about 60 pounds. It takes even more strength to keep it off!
After nearly four years at ArtSkills, I transitioned to my current role as a Social Media Graphic Designer at Guardian Life Insurance. Over the past 10 months, I have developed engaging static and dynamic content for platforms like LinkedIn and Meta, emphasizing brand consistency and audience connection. My work includes creating short-form videos, static graphics, image carousels, and repurposing email templates for social media. Collaborating across teams, I ensure each piece aligns with Guardian’s broader marketing strategy while staying ahead of emerging trends.
Much like teaching myself the ways of eating clean and working to maintaining weight loss, I have excelled in my career. I have become an expert in time management and multitasking while maintaining an eye for detail. I am accomplished in many Adobe Creative Cloud programs, digital photography, videography, and motion graphics. I am passionate about my career goals in graphic design, advertising/marketing, social media content creation, videography, and motion graphics, as well as my personal goals in health and fitness! Overall, I look forward to sharing my skills and knowledge with the world!
